Dancing From the age of 3…
Nancy Jay is an influencer and a content creator with over 450k followers on Social Media. Nancy’s first love and passion is dancing. Nancy has been dancing since the age of 3. She is well versed in many styles of dancing such as Caribbean, Bollywood, Urban, Latin and more. Nancy’s first dance performance was at the age of 12. She has performed and competed in many shows throughout the U.S and Canada where she took first place. She has also performed for NYPD events, promoting the Caribbean culture. You can spot Nancy in a variety of Soca Music Videos such as Rock and Come in by Linky First, Jeune Femme by Linky First, Roll by Adrian Dutchin and Mami Lo Tiene by Machel Montano.
Nancy taught her first Caribbean Dance workshop in 2013 at John Jay College which is also the college she attended. She then founded Fit by Soca LLC in 2016. Nancy was featured on BronxNet, a local TV network for the people of the Bronx, where she demonstrated the Fit by Soca dance fitness class. She also partnered with the 14 Street Y where she taught a series of Pop up Fit by Soca classes. Nancy also offers private lessons to individuals looking to improve their dancing skills.
Nancy’s goal, in addition to helping those who attend her class live a happy and healthy lifestyle, is to also promote the Caribbean/West Indian Culture through her Content.
Fun Facts: Nancy was also an open format DJ for 5 years. She is the Founder of Soca Addict Designs. Nancy founded the first ever West Indian student organization at John Jay College in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Law and Police Studies. She’s a Sagittarius. She has several viral TikTok videos.
